Beaux is pleased to introduce the works of Mutsumi Ishigaki had been
exhibited in 2004 and 2008, the series of "JUNE" and "PLANTS BOOK".
Her main works are oil painting on canvas.
Her lines are delicate and her color is expressive. Her images created
by these lines and colors seem to wrap us with warm and gentle
feelings. She used to make a lot of doodle drawings in her childhood.
She describes her present works as an extension of that activity. She
takes on images that come to her mind freely and develops them into
shapes and colors spontaneously, almost unconsciously. Thus, at the
first glance, her works appear to have no structural strength but, in
fact, there are fine harmony and calculated planning in their
compositional schemes. The composition is clearly defined and provides
stability to her works.
